Did ABC Spoil a LOST Return? *UPDATE*

Posted by tvjunkywright on June 5, 2009

MYSTERY

You would think if a major character was returning to a show, the network would keep it secret…right?

Well, here’s a head scratcher for you!

ABC has released a video promoting their schedule for next season. And well…there’s a familiar face. Check out out for yourself.

So there you have Derek (Patrick Dempsey, Grey’s Anatomy), Jules (Courteney Cox, Cougar Town) and Jay (Ed O’Neil, Modern Family) playing foosball. But is that….Charlie? The Charlie that was killed off LOST?

Dominic Monaghan is indeed in the promo, but is he really Charlie? If so, why would ABC spoil the surprise? Or are they toying with LOST fans?

You decide.

Update

Monaghan will be joining another ABC drama (not LOST). But which…?

Have Mercy! John Stamos Planning a “Full House” Movie?

Posted by tvjunkywright on June 5, 2009

full house

John Stamos just finished his run on E.R, which ended its long run on NBC. So what now for this actor?

A Full House movie? REALLY?

According to Stamos, it might be coming. He tells Entertainment Weekly that he’s working on Full House: The Movie.

Stamos compares it to The Brady Bunch, and wouldn’t include any of the original cast members.

No Bob Saget, no Dave Coulier, no Olsen twins. Could it work?

What do you think folks? Could a re-casted movie version of Full House work? And who would you cast?

Ratings Report: NBA Finals a Slam-Drunk For ABC

Posted by tvjunkywright on June 5, 2009

lakers

Kobe Bryant and the L.A. Lakers scored a big win last night against the Orlando Magic. And people watched in huge numbers.

Game 1 of the NBA Finals won big last night for ABC, raking in 10.5 million viewers for the network.

In other numbers,  NBC’s “I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here” stopped its freefall, scoring higher ratings than the previous night (5.2 million, 1.9 rating).

However, the premiere of The Listener opened with a 1.4 and 1.5 rating in the key demo. Not a great start for this Canadian imported show.

Here are the rest of the numbers.
