It’s been a rough summer off for Grey’s Anatomy, with the news of T.R. Knight leaving the show, and the future of Katherine Heigl still up in the air. But the ABC drama finally got some good news.
Jessica Capshaw, who plays Dr. Arizona Robbins, will be rejoining the cast next season as a regular.
Her character was introduced mid-season last year, and has been in a relationship with Dr. Callie Torres.
The sixth season of Grey’s Anatomy debuts on ABC and CTV on September 24th.
But will Katherine Heigl be back. Tune in here for the latest.
That’s the main question on everyone’s mind going into tonight’s highly-anticipated Grey’s Anatomy season finale.
With (the recently married) Izzie Stevens suffering from terminal cancer, it looks like her days are numbered. However on tonight’s two-hour finale, Dr. Derek Sheppard will offer Izzie an ultimatum. It’s a high-risk procedure in a last-ditch effort to save her life. But the chances of survival are slim, and the risks involved may cause her to lose her memory.
Will she go through with the procedure and try one last time to save herself, or will she refuse?
Also in tonight’s season finale we’ll see the fate of another rumoured departure. It was reported that George (T.R. Knight) could possibly leave the show also, but those reports have been denied.
Will this be the last we see of George?
With the fate of two main characters up in the air, tonight’s season finale will have fans sitting on the edge of their seats. Who will make it through? Tune in tonight on ABC and CTV.
Michaela McManus, who played A.D.A. Kim Greylek, will be not returning to SVU next season.
McManus joined the cast this year, but hasn’t appeared on the show since March. Her character was sent back Washington D.C., while former A.D.A. Alexandra Cabot (played by Stephanie March) returned to take the reigns.
March will be appearing in the final four episodes of the SVU season, but it is unknown if she’ll be returning full-time next year.
While the show might be looking for a new A.D.A, it is still trying to keep two of their top stars. Chris Meloni (Det. Elliot Stabler) and Mariska Hargitay (Det. Olivia Benson) have been in deep negotiations with the network.
Despite the cast shake-ups as of late, Law & Order SVU is still the top rated scripted-show for NBC, averaging over 10.5 million viewers every week.
I know what you’re all thinking. Finally Paula Abdul is leaving. Well no … not yet anyways.
During an interview with UK’s Daily Mirror, Idol judge Simon Cowell talked about potentially giving up one of his shows.
“I don’t want to come over as whiney, because I am very grateful that I have got these jobs,” Cowell says. “But there is a point where I am not sure we can keep this schedule up. I am not sure we can sustain me doing three shows a year, [along] with the record label and the TV production company.”
Cowell is currently working on three shows at the same time. Not only American Idol in the U.S., but the U.K’s X Factor, and Britain’s Got Talent. This gruelling schedule means Cowell has to take four flights per-week.
“One may have to go,” he says.
But which gig will he leave? The answer is surprising.
“I can’t imagine not doing Britain’s Got Talent, and I can’t imagine not doing X Factor,” he says. “I guess [my show in] America is more likely to go, because I have got one year [left on] contract. Maybe that will be the end.”
American Idol is currently the most watched show on TV today, winning the ratings race by a large margin week after week.
But if Simon Cowell does in fact leave, how will this affect the show? Will people still tune-in without everyone’s favourite cranky, yet honest judge?
A warning to the readers, if you want to stay surprised…STOP READING NOW.

Last chance….
…
Ok, those still hear want to know what’s the scoop. Will T.R. Knight, who plays Dr. George O’Malley, be leaving or staying the hit show Grey’s Anatomy.
The answer… no one knows! Not even Knight himself.
Now calm down folks before you send me angry comments saying this is not news. It’s coming.
During the Season Finale (here comes the spoiler), something will happen to George which will leave his life hanging in the balance. Will he live…will he die….no one really knows yet.
The decision will be up to Grey’s creator Shonda Rhimes, who has up to mid-June to decide his fate. Not even the actor knows if he’ll be returning.
This stems from years of backstage controversy, which most recently had T.R. Knight ask for his release from the show due to his lack of screen time.
Also rumored to leave is co-star Katherine Heigl, who plays Dr. Izzie Stevens. It is still unsure if she’ll be staying or leaving too.
There you have it folks. It looks like this Season Finale’s cliffhanger will have people talking. What do you all think of these latest developments?
The good news is that Law & Order: SVU will be returning to NBC and CTV next season. The bad news… the show might proceed without their two top guns.
Both Chris Meloni (Det. Elliot Stabler) and Mariska Hargitay (Det. Olivia Benson) are in negotiations with the network to renew their contracts. However, it is reported that things are going well.
Meloni and Hargitay made $350,000 per-episode last season, but they are asking for hefty raise during their re-negotiations.
If a deal is not made soon, NBC will have no choice but to let them go, and replace one or both of them.
L&O: SVU is currently the highest rated scripted-drama on NBC, raking in 10.5 million viewers per-week. But the show revolves around these two characters, and losing one or both of them will no doubt hurt the show.
Add to that, SVU will be moving to an early time next fall. NBC will be airing the new Jay Leno Show every weekday at 10 pm. EST, thus cutting down the schedule.
Can the network afford losing their two top stars?
This isn’t the first time Meloni and Hargitay been in a contract dispute. Two years ago they were in a tussle with the network, and came out with a $6.5 million per-year deal.
Will we see Stabler and Benson next season? I certainly hope so, and no doubt NBC hopes the same.
What do you think? Will you watch if one, or both leave?
